Chinese President's special envoy to attend Turkmenistan's presidential inauguration

Ismail Amat, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, will attend the inauguration ceremony of Turkmenistan's elected president as President Hu Jintao's special envoy.

Ismail Amat will leave for Turkmenistan on Feb. 13 as guest of its government, according to sources with the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
