Vietnam's Central Hygiene and Epidemiology has put into operation the country's most advanced vaccine-producing plant, which meets the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard set by the World Health Organization, local media reported Tuesday.

The vaccines will be consumed domestically in the short term, and also be exported in the long run. The construction of the vaccine plant was funded by official development assistance of South Korea.
