Ismail Amat, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, left Beijing for Turkmenistan on Tuesday to attend the inauguration ceremony of Turkmenistan's elected president as President Hu Jintao's special envoy.

Ismail Amat will be there as guest of Turkmenistan government, according to sources with the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
