Land Rover to recall 356 vehicles in China
font size

British carmaker Land Rover will recall 356 Discovery 3s in China for a faulty bleeding pipe in the vehicle's fuel tank, said sources with the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (SAQSIQ) on Wednesday.

Land Rover will replace the fuel tanks with new ones free of charge for the 365 cross-country vehicles that were produced between May 3 and Sept. 28, 2005.

Those which were produced after Sept. 28, 2005 do not have the problem, said the SAQSIQ.

In 2005, 104 Discovery 3s, produced between July 1, 2004 to April 30, 2005, were recalled in China for the same problem.

Meanwhile, DaimlerChrysler decided to recall 29 Vianos in the country due to a problem that may cause fuel leakages.

None of the 29 minivans, produced between Oct. 4 to 18, 2006, were sold and the German-U.S. carmaker will recall them from distributors.
