The U.S. dollar dropped to upper 119 yen on Thursday in Tokyo.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 119.95-98 yen, down from Wednesday's 5:00 p.m. quotes of 120.75-85 yen in New York and 121. 20-22 yen in Tokyo.

The dollar moved between 119.77 yen and 120.78 yen during the day, changing hands most often at 120.10 yen.

The euro fetched 1.3133-3136 dollars and 157.56-60 yen, against Wednesday's 5:00 p.m. quotes of 1.3131-3141 dollars and 158.55-65 yen in New York and 1.3076-3078 dollars and 158.49-53 yen in Tokyo.
