Iran calls for direct flights to Indonesia
font size

Visiting Iranian Parliament speaker Gholam Ali Hadad Adel expressed the hope Friday that the Indonesian government would immediately materialize the direct flights between their capitals.

"The agreement (on the direct flights) was signed in 2004 and the Iranian Parliament has ratified it," Gholam was quoted by the Antara news agency as saying.

He made the remarks shortly after meeting with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the State Palace here.

He said that his country is now waiting for the realization of the direct Jakarta-Tehran flights.
