The Communist Party of Nepal ( CPN) is willing to work with the World Bank (WB) in the efforts for Nepal's development, local newspaper The Kathmandu Post quoted WB Managing Director Graeme Wheeler as saying Saturday.

Referring to his talks with CPN leaders, WB Managing Director Graeme Wheeler Friday said, Wheeler said the CPN leadership expressed their willingness to work with development partners like the World Bank.

During his three-day visit, Wheeler met with Nepali government officials and CPN leaders as well.

Wheeler said he found the CPN leadership keen on infrastructure development. "They also talked about the role that private sector can play in development process and stressed the need to expand health and education services in the rural areas," he added.

Talking to media persons prior to his departure after completing a three-day visit to Nepal, Managing Director Wheeler said, "Nepal now faces a historic moment of great opportunity and hope."
