Chinese president appoints nine new ambassadors

Chinese President Hu Jintao appointed new ambassadors to nine countries on Saturday, in accordance with the decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

Yan Banghua was appointed the ambassador to Republic of Guinea-Bissau, replacing Tian Guangfeng.

Gao Zhengyue was appointed the ambassador to the Republic of Peru, replacing Yin Hengmin.

Zeng Xianqi was appointed the ambassador to the Republic of Burundi, replacing Feng Zhijun.

Liu Wenxin was appointed the ambassador to the Bosnia and Herzegovina, replacing Li Shuyuan.

Dong Chunfeng was appointed the ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia, replacing Zhang Wanxue.

Li Manchang was appointed the ambassador to the Republic of Montenegro.

Chen Xiaodong was appointed the ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, replacing Li Huaxin

Yang Min was appointed the ambassador to the Republic of Togo, replacing Zhang Shixian.

Cai Runguo was appointed the ambassador to the Ecuador, replacing Liu Yuqin.
