Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare faces a vote of no-confidence this week, reported Radio New Zealand International Monday.
It said the no-confidence motion was filed by opposition MP William Haomae and is likely to be moved in Parliament on Friday.
Sogavare survived a no-confidence vote in October last year, when a motion was put by opposition Leader Fred Fono.
Sogavare got power following a riot last April, when hundreds of mobs took to the streets of capital Honiara, looting, burning and turning on New Zealand and Australian police officers keeping peace in the town.
Up to now, the former British protectorate in South Pacific, is striving to recover from civil conflicts that brought it to the brink of collapse.
