Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) (formerly known as guerrilla) Prachanda Monday said his party would not reject the norms and concepts of globalization in the economy, local newspaper The Kathmandu Post reported Tuesday.

Speaking at a program held by Morang Industry Association in Biratnagar, some 250 km east to Kathmandu on Monday, he said that his party would give priority to education, health and agriculture sectors in order to spur economic growth in Nepal.

He also underscored the need to model the country's economy based on the country's unique characteristics and not by replicating others.
