Stocks close higher in Argentina, Brazil, lower in Mexico

Latin America's three major stock markets closed mixed on Thursday.

The Buenos Aires stock market closed with the Merval index up 0.04 percent at 2,204.23 points. The trade volume was 20.341million dollars.

In Sao Paulo, Latin America's biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index, closed at 46,452 points, up 0.79 percent. The trade volume was 1.673 billion dollars.

Mexico City's IPC stock index dropped by 0.14 percent to close at 28,676.48 points. A total of 145 million shares were traded at 324 million dollars.
