HK police arrests drug runner at HK airport

Hong Kong police said here Thursday that a 55-year-old man with 2.75 kilograms of cocaine has been arrested at Hong Kong International Airport.

According to the police, the man was arrested upon his arrival at about one p.m. on Feb. 21 and officers found six slabs of cocaine, worth about 2.4 million HK dollars (about 307,692 U.S. dollars), in a false compartment in a suitcase he carried.

The unidentified man has been charged with drug trafficking and will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistracy on Feb. 23.
