    Precious relics unearthed in southwest China

    This photo, taken on November 7, 2006, reveals the relic of a stone house. A number of relics dating back to the New Stone Age and Shang and Zhou Dynasties (16th to 3rd centuries B.C.) have been unearthed in the middle reaches of the Dadu River in southwest China's Sichuan Province, the two-year archaeological work was finished on February 26.

    Yangtze drought affects 1.5 million people

    Six killed as blast hits Iraqi ministry

    A victim was wounded when an explosion ripped through the public works ministry in Baghdad February 26, 2007.A blast at an Iraqi ministry building killed six people and slightly wounded Vice President Adel Abdul-Mahdi during a ceremony on Monday, police and a senior political source said.
