The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) had granted a loan of 1.2 billion U.S. dollar to Argentina to help improve the country's infrastructure and public services, the Argentine government said on Wednesday.
The loan will be used to develop electricity storage, environmental hygiene works and a drinking water network in the northeast of Argentina, the Economy Ministry said in a report.
The country's northernmost provinces of Jujuy and Salta bordering Bolivia will be the biggest beneficiaries of the IADB loan, the report said.
