Senior Chinese officials to meet US Deputy Secretary of State in Beijing

US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte, on his March 3-5 China tour, will meet with some senior Chinese officials on bilateral ties and important international and regional issues, said a Foreign Ministry spokesman Thursday.

Qin Gang told a regular press conference that State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, as well as vice foreign ministers Dai Bingguo and Yang Jiechi will meet or hold talks with Negroponte, respectively.
