Chinese warships hit targets in multinational drill

Two Chinese frigates successfully hit two targets on the sea on Thursday in a multinational naval exercises in the Arabian Sea off the Pakistani coast.

In the firing, the guided missile frigates, Lian Yungang and Sanming, shot at and destroyed their buoy targets, respectively, said Qiu Yanpeng, head of the Chinese task group.

The multinational naval exercises AMAN-07, or Peace-07, was initiated by Pakistan.

The anti-terror drill, involving Bangladesh, China, France, Italy, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States, runs from March 6 to 13.
