China extends condolence to Indonesia over earthquakes, air crash

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing on Thursday sent a message of condolence to his Indonesian counterpart Hassan Wirayuda to express sympathy over the country's huge human and property losses in recent strong earthquakes and an air crash.

Indonesia's Sumatra island was hit by powerful earthquakes on Tuesday morning, with at least 73 people killed till now.

On Wednesday, a jetliner burst into flame on landing in Yogyakarta province, killing 21 passengers, including 15 foreigners.
