Sales of passenger cars in Poland increased by 21.3 percent in February compared with the same period last year, according to data released by the Samar company monitoring the car market.

A total of 22,024 passenger cars were sold in February, while 3,625 new delivery vans were sold, the best monthly performance in the past five years, Samar said.

"Predictions for the near future are optimistic, further improvement is expected in the coming months," Samar said.
