Nepal government has allowed the Bhutanese refugees living in Nepal to go to a third country for settlement, a leading website, eKantipur.com reported on Sunday.

According to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's foreign affairs advisor Suresh Chalise, such agreement was made during a meeting of the United States Under Secretary of State for Management, Henrietta H Fore with Koirala in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Chalise said, "If the Bhutanese refugees want to settle in any third world, the government would not interfere."

Prior to this, not only US agreed to settle 60,000 Bhutanese refugees in its country but also other third world countries expressed positive interest in this regard.

Some 105,000 Bhutanese refugees have been living in seven camps in eastern Nepal for the last 16 years.
