Zimbabwe to hold workshop to promote trade with China
font size

The Zimbabwe-China Business Council (ZCBC) will next week hold a one-day workshop aimed at encouraging local entrepreneurs to explore the Chinese market.

The workshop will assist the private sector to formulate strategies on how to enhance trade and investment exchange with China, said the business council in a statement on Tuesday.

ZCBC said the seminar would also allow Zimbabwean companies an opportunity to register for some of the leading Chinese investment and trade fairs for 2007.

China and Zimbabwe have in recent years seen a boom in trade and investment. According to Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe Yuan Nansheng, trade volumes between the two countries are expected to rise to 500 million U.S. dollars in 2008.
