China and Japan to hold second meeting on common history research

On March 14, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the second meeting of the Sino-Japan Common History Research Committee will be held in Tokyo on March 19 and 20. At this session the details of the topics to be researched will be decided, and ways to increase research will be discussed. Japan's Foreign Minister Taro Aso will meet with the Chinese and Japanese commissioners during the session.

The first meeting of the Sino-Japan Common History Research Committee was held in Beijing during December of 2006.
