A delegation of Japan's ruling parties concluded its five-day visit to China and left for Tokyo Monday morning.
The delegation is headed by Hidenao Nakagawa, secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), and Kazuo Kitagawa, secretary general of the ruling coalition partner New Komeito. Both took their positions last September.
President Hu Jintao met with the Japanese guests and said the two countries should continuously enhance political trust, properly handle sensitive issues and work for a mutually beneficial relationship based on common strategic interests.
Hidenao delivered a speech at the Party School of the CPC Central Committee. The delegates attended a seminar at the Renmin University of China in Beijing.
The delegation came on the eve of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's expected visit to Japan in mid-April, the first trip to Japan by a Chinese premier since 2000.
Hidenao said during an interview that Japan would try its best to ensure Wen's tour succeed.
