Reception held to mark 51st Anniversary of Independence of Republic of Tunisia

A reception was held in Beijing on Tuesday evening to mark the 51st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tunisia.

Counselor Kamel Makkes of the Tunisian embassy, where the reception was held, made a general introduction of Tunisia, which officially became independent from France on March 20, 1956 and announced the founding of the Republic of Tunisia the following year.

More than 100 guests attended the reception.
