A delegation of 30 discipline inspection officials from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party arrived in Beijing Tuesday for a visit to China until March 31.

He Yong, deputy head of the Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, met with the Lao ruling party delegation Wednesday afternoon.

During the hour-long meeting, He briefed the Lao officials on China's initiatives on fighting corruption and building an honest and clean government.

He also briefed the delegation on China's economic and social development.

Thongsy Ouanlasy, the deputy head of the Lao party's discipline inspection body, said his party will learn from the CPC's theoretical innovations and practices in building socialism.

The delegation will also visit China's southwest provinces of Yunnan and Sichuan.
