Top negotiator of the Republic of Korea Chun Yung Woo said Thursday morning he is going to meet other five chief negotiators to discuss the resolving of the frozen funds of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) issue.
Chun told reporters when leaving hotel that he was going to the Diaoyutai Guesthouse to attend a chief negotiators' meeting. "The six parties have the political willingness to resolve the frozen DPRK funds issue, but the technical problems with the issue have not been resolved yet," said Chun.
He said only after the top negotiators meeting can we know how the issue will be resolved.
The sixth round of six-party talks, involving China, the DPRK, the United States, ROK, Japan and Russia and scheduled to end on Wednesday, are extended in Thursday due to the unresolved technical problems with the releasing of 25 million U.S. dollars DPRK funds frozen in a Macao-based bank.
