SCO to intensify cooperation against four forces

"An important task of the SCO is to further intensify cooperation among its six members against four forces - terrorism, secessionism, extremism and drug trafficking," Bolat Nurgaliyev, the secretary-general of the Shanghai Cooperation (SCO) said as he answered the questions from netizens on Friday.

"At the last summit held in Shanghai, SCO set an important task. That is, to take prompt, pragmatic measures against emergencies threatening security and stability of world countries. This is part of the political cooperation among SCO members," Bolat Nurgaliyev added.

Bolat Nurgaliyev paid a visit Friday afternoon to the People¡¯s Daily Online where he talked to netizens under the theme of "SCO and peace, development of today's world" on the Strong China Forum, a feature of People's Daily Online.
