Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi left Beijing at noon Saturday for a visit to Moscow, Russia.

Wu, also president of the organizing committee of the "Year of China in Russia" program, is said to pave the way for Chinese President Hu Jintao's upcoming state visit to Russia from March 26 to 28.
