The situation of Kosovo, training assistance to Afghan leaders and a planned radar system in Central-Eastern Europe were discussed at a NATO Parliamentary Assembly session that began in Budapest on Saturday.

At Saturday's meeting of the Assembly's Standing Committee, Hungary urged a more intensive international dialogue about the future status of Kosovo, which is a highly important issue for Hungary to be settled, member of the Hungarian parliament's defense committee Agnes Vadai told reporters on Saturday.

On the training courses for deputies requested by the Afghan parliament's house speaker the assembly agreed to invite a delegation to its next session to agree on details, Vadai said.

Regarding the planned NATO radar bases, the session agreed it was an issue to be discussed by all NATO member parliaments, Vadai said.
