Chinese Foreign Ministry commissioner's office congratulates Tsang on election victory

The Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Sunday congratulated incumbent Donald Tsang Yam-kuen on his overwhelming victory in the election third-term HK chief executive and vowed its continuous support to the Hong Kong SAR government.

The office also expressed belief that, under Donald Tsang's leadership, the Hong Kong SAR government will continue to consolidate its governance with the support from all sectors of society, to promote the economic development and social harmony of Hong Kong, to push forward the lofty cause of "one country, two systems" for brighter future of Hong Kong.

The office said it will continue to support the Hong Kong SAR government in its efforts to expand overseas exchanges and international economic and trade cooperation, to increase Hong Kong's international influence and contribute to promoting Hong Kong's prosperity, stability and long-term development.
