Gala performance to open the Year of China

The Chinese and Russian presidents will tonight attend the opening ceremony of the "Year of China." Artists from China will present a performance to thousands of spectators, including representatives from the two sides and the Chinese diplomatic delegation in Moscow.

China National Exhibition

Opens tomorrow at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow. Occupying 20,000 square meters of floor space, it will the biggest ever national exhibition sponsored by China in a foreign country.

Under the theme of "Win-Win Cooperation, Harmonious Development", it will detail China's long history and glorious culture, with particular focus on the achievements the country has made in various fields since introducing reforms and its opening-up policy in the late 1970s.

About 200 Chinese enterprises from 31 provinces and municipalities, plus Hong Kong and Macau special administrative regions, will attend the exhibition to demonstrate the potential for bilateral cooperation in 30-plus sectors. More than 15,000 products and some 1,000 pictures will be on display.

Chinese Culture Festival

Tonight's gala opening will usher in the year-long Chinese Culture Festival in Russia.

Chinese Porcelain Show

Opens tomorrow at the Triumphal Arch of Moscow and will be followed by a series of exhibitions and shows.

Seminar between Chinese and Russian legislative institutions

Participants will share their experiences in legislature work and facilitate further exchanges and communication between the two countries' parliaments to offer legal safeguards for the bilateral pragmatic cooperation.

The 11th St Petersburg International Economic Forum

Delegates of the Chinese government will attend the forum, while enterprises and regional representatives from the two sides will hold trade discussions during the forum.

Exchanges between the Youth Delegation of the National People's Congress and Russian youth councilors

An activity to promote cultural communication, and deepen understanding and political trust between the two countries' young people.

The 2nd Sino-Russian Summit on Economy Industrial and Commerce

Will include a special forum on key fields in the bilateral economic and trade cooperation and a sub-forum on Sino-Russian energy and industrial collaboration.

The 4th Sino-Russian Investment Promotion Conference

Held to boost communication on the bilateral investment collaboration status, and promote the facilitation of investment and large-scale project signing.

Closing Ceremony and celebration performance

Set to be held during the 12th regular meeting of the Chinese and Russian premiers.

China-Russia Women's Forum

Planned to be held in Moscow and St Petersburg.
