Li Jianguo has been appointed secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), replacing Zhang Gaoli, according to a decision by the CPC Central Committee.

Zhang Gaoli had earlier been appointed secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, replacing Zhang Lichang.

In another decision by the CPC Central Committee, Qiang Wei has been appointed secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee replacing Zhao Leji, who has been appointed secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of CPC.
