The gold price in Hong Kong went up nine HK dollars to 6,178 HK dollars per tael on Wednesday, according to the Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 664.86 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 0.97 U.S. dollars at Wednesday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.8055 HK dollars.
