Norwegian PM winds up China tour

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg left Beijing Wednesday morning, ending his four-day official visit to China.

During the visit, Premier Wen Jiabao held talks with Stoltenberg, while top legislator Wu Bangguo and Vice President Zeng Qinghong met with him, respectively.

During the talks between Stoltenberg and Wen, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in which Norway formally recognized China's full market economy status.

The two countries also inked agreements on fishery cooperation and coping with climate change.

Stoltenberg also delivered a speech at the prestigious Qinghua University, and attended the opening ceremony of a seminar between Chinese and Norwegian scholars on energy management.

Stoltenberg arrived in the Chinese capital on Sunday to kick off his official visit as Wen's guest.
