Chinese envoy to attend inauguration ceremony of Senegalese president

Chinese President Hu Jintao's special envoy Han Qide will attend an inauguration ceremony for Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade as well as the activities celebrating 47th anniversary of Senegal's independence from April 3 to 4.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang made the announcement Thursday at a regular press conference.

Han, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, was invited by the Senegalese side, according to Qin.
