Indonesia's inflation rate in March reached 0.24 percent, the Central Statistic Bureau announced in Jakarta Monday.
The head of the bureau Rusman Heriawan said that the figure was driven by the price rise of all goods and services, including unprocessed food by 0.16 percent, processed food and drink, cigarette and tobacco 0.36 percent, housing, water, electricity gas and fuel 0.29 percent, clothing 0.41 percent, health 0.20 percent and education, recreation and sport 0.03 percent, and transport, communication and financial services 0.09 percent.
He said year on year (March 2006 to March 2007) inflation reached 6.52 percent, and the cumulative inflation by March was 1. 91 percent.
Inflation occurred in 36 out of 45 cities in the country.
