Speaking at a press conference organized here Tuesday, the visiting British Minister for International Development, Gareth Thomas said a large portion of the amount in assistance will go to loan rebate and the remaining amount to the Peace Fund, according to the RSS.

Thomas said Nepal presently faced the challenges of holding the Constituent Assembly election in a free, fair and credible manner, reaching the peace dividend to the people, making the election inclusive with the participation of the Dalit, oppressed and the Madhesi community and maintaining law and order.

Stating that the Nepali people should have the opportunity to participate in the elections in an environment free from fear, the British minister stressed the need for all the political parties to create such an environment by becoming fully disciplined. Source: Xinhua
