14th SAARC summit meeting concludes in India

Leaders of eight South Asian countries concluded their 14th summit meeting here on Wednesday after two-day discussions on strengthening regional cooperation.

At the closing session, the foreign ministers of the eight- member South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) signed two agreements on the establishment of South Asian University and the SAARC Food Bank.

The heads of state or government of SAARC member countries also signed a declaration which was described by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as "comprehensive" and "forward-looking."

The 15th SAARC summit will be held in Maldives.
