Chinese State Councilor Hua Jianmin met with Turkish Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin Wednesday, pledging to enhance cooperation with Turkey in the personnel area.

Hua praised the achievements the two countries had made in expanding bilateral cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic ties 36 years ago.

He stressed that cooperation in the personnel area is an important part of bilateral relations.

Hua told Sahin the Chinese government is committed to carrying out the scientific concept of development and promoting the building of harmonious society. Thus China is ready to further enhance cooperation with Turkey in the personnel field.

In response, Sahin said his government is willing to deepen exchanges with China in human resources area.

The two countries' personnel departments also signed Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation plan for 2007-2008.
