Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan held talks with his Nigerian counterpart Aguiyi Ironsi here Thursday afternoon.

Cao said the exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Nigerian armed forces are getting closer and still have potential to expand.

Chinese armed forces are willing to develop all-round friendly relations with Nigerian armed forces, Cao said.

Cao also briefed Iraonsi on China's domestic situation and its foreign and defense policies.

Ironsi said the bilateral relations are becoming more solid in recent years and Nigerian armed forces hope to strengthen cooperation with Chinese armed forces.
