Dollar moves narrowly at upper 118 yen level in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar moved narrowly at the upper 118 yen level for most of Thursday in Tokyo.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 118.72-74 yen, against Wednesday's 5 p.m. quotes of 118.68-78 yen in New York and 118.81- 83 yen in Tokyo.

It moved between 118.49 yen and 118.80 yen during the day, trading most frequently at 118.67 yen.

The euro was traded at 1.3369-3371 dollars and 158.72-76 yen, compared with Wednesday's 5 p.m. quotes of 1.3363-3373 dollars and 158.59-69 yen in New York and 1.3350-3352 dollars and 158.62-66 yen in Tokyo.
