NPC vice chairwoman meets Mongolian parliament delegation

Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, met Thursday with a Mongolian parliament delegation headed by Tsend Monkhorgil, chairman of the standing committee of law of the State Great Hural of Mongolia.

Gu told Monkhorgil that China is ready to make joint efforts with Mongolia to further tap the advantage of mutual political trust, close geographic locations, economic complementarity and cultural communication between the two countries to promote the lasting, steady and healthy development of the good-neighborly partnership.

She proposed that the two countries strengthen governmental, parliamentary and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation.

Monkhorgil said the Mongolian side is satisfied with the smooth development of the Mongolia-China relationship and is ready to further the ties in various fields.

The Mongolian guests arrived here on Sunday for a visit to China.
