Malaysian central bank's int'l reserves at end March
font size

The international reserves of Malaysia's central bank amounted to 305.9 billion ringgit (88.6 billion U.S. dollars) as at March 30 this year, the bank said Friday.

"The reserves position is sufficient to finance 8.1 months of retained imports and is nine times the short-term external debt," the bank said in a press statement.

The reserves level has taken into account the quarterly revaluation loss, following the strengthening of ringgit against the major currencies during the first quarter, it added.
