Jordan, China mark 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations

Jordan's King Abdullah on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Chinese President Hu Jintao on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The King expressed keenness to further enhance bilateral ties in various domains and promote them to achieve joint interests, according to Jordan's news agency Petra.

Jordan and China will celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations on Saturday.

Abdullah said in the congratulation message that China managed to play an important role in solving the Middle East issues, mainly the Arab-Israeli conflict.

He stressed the importance of economic relations between China and regional countries and the necessity of enhancing strategic and political coordination to reflect the Chinese key role in the region and the world.
