The U.S. dollar remained in the lower 119 yen level Tuesday in Tokyo.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 119.15-17 yen, compared with Monday's 5 p.m. quotes of 119.27-37 yen in New York and 119. 26-29 yen in Tokyo.

It moved between 118.76 yen and 119.32 yen during the day, changing hands most often at 119.05 yen.

The euro stood at 1.3408-3410 dollars at 5:00 p.m., as compared with Monday's 5:00 p.m. quotes of 1.3350-3360 dollars and 159.28- 38 yen in New York and 1.3364-3367 dollars and 159.41-45 yen in Tokyo.
