Average life expectancy in Beijing exceeds 80

The average life expectancy in Beijing reached 80.07 last year, according to a report released by the Health Bureau and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Center for Preventative Medical Research on April 7, World Health Day.

Last year, the life expectancy for a male and female in Beijing was 78.36 years and 81.82 years. These statistics put Beijing people's health on par with that of the mid-range of developed countries.
