Canada condemns terrorist attacks in Algeria
font size

Canadian Foreign Minister Peter Mackay on Wednesday condemned the terrorist blasts in Algeria that killed at least 23 people.

Mackay said in a brief statement that "Canada strongly condemns the senseless, brutal bombings," and "there can be no justification for these criminal acts."

He also offered his sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

Earlier on Wednesday, two separate bombings that targeted the Prime Minister's office and a police station ripped through the Algerian capital Algiers, killing 23 people and injuring 162 others.
