Turkish Foreign Ministry on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist blasts in Algeria that killed at least some 23 people Wednesday.
"Turkey condemns attacks targeting innocent civilians in Algeria. We call on all countries to carry out a joint struggle against terrorism," the ministry said in a statement.
"Turkey once again reiterates that terrorism could not have any religion, nationality or geography, and that it could not be justified whatever its motives are. International cooperation and solidarity are essential in the fight against terrorism," the statement added.
Earlier on Wednesday, two separate bombings that targeted Algerian prime minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem's headquarters took place in the central Algiers and the Bab Essouar police station, killing at least some 23 people and injuring 162 others.
