Egypt, China to enhance cooperation in manpower, social securityEgyptian Manpower and Immigration Minister Aisha Abudl Hadi met with visiting Chinese Minister of Labor and Social Security Tian Chengping Wednesday in Cairo to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation in human resources and social security. Tian, who arrived in Cairo on Tuesday for a five-day visit, said bilateral cooperation has been improving and the two nations have made good coordination in international arena, including within the International Labor Organization. He said China was keen on strengthening cooperation with Egypt, sharing experience and improving manpower exchange in the manpower and social security fields. Tian said his ministry will organize personnel training courses for African nations, a measure announced by Chinese President Hu Jintao at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation last November. He invited Egypt to send staffers to participate training programs in China. China will continue the help in construction of a vocational training center in Egypt, he said. On her part, Abudl Hadi said Egypt and China were facing similar tasks in the human resources and social security fields, which laid foundation for cooperation and experience sharing between the two nations.
