DRC president wishes to strengthen cooperation with China

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 's President Joseph Kabila said on Thursday in Kinshasa that his country attaches great importance to the development of relations with China, and would like to strengthen these bilateral relations in all fields.

Kabila made these remarks during his meeting with the new Chinese ambassador to DRC Wu Zexian, who presented with his accreditation letters.

Kabila also expressed his admiration of China's history, culture and remarkable success achieved in social and economic construction of the country.

Moreover, he hoped that DRC and China would widen their economic and trade exchanges, wishing more Chinese companies would invest in his country.

Bilateral cooperation continues to develop since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which have experienced not only the strengthening of economic cooperation, but mutual respect and support in international affairs as well.

China will redouble its efforts to achieve stable, healthy and sustainable development of its friendly and cooperative ties with DRC, Wu said on his part.

The new Chinese Ambassador arrived in Kinshasa on March 31.
