Two Palestinian women were wounded in predawn raid by the Israeli army in the West Bank city of Qalqilya Saturday, witnesses and paramedics said.
Paramedics said that the women, aged 29 and 40, were seriously wounded when the army started to demolish Shukri Nazzal's house in the town.
According to the Israeli army, Nazzal was a member of a Hamas group that planned to set off a massive car bomb in Tel Aviv over the Passover Jewish holiday.
Last Tuesday, the army said it had arrested 19 members of that group.
In northern West Bank town of Jenin, Palestinian militants, meanwhile, announced they have clashed with an Israeli force that rolled into Jenin refugee camp under cover of night.
In a joint statement faxed to the press, the Islamic Jihad ( Holy War) and the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of Fatah said they have detonated bombs beside two Israeli bulldozers.
The army withdrew from Jenin in the morning "after hours of fierce clashes," said the statement.
